Dave is very pleased to have been cast in The Boys Of Summerville. "Its a smart, funny script with very gifted actors and actresses and crew and a great director", says Dave. Dave is from Clinton, Tn. He worked there locally as a radio announcer at a few different radio stations until departing for college in 1985. His first experiences were at Lincoln Memorial University. Roles there included Bo in “Bustop, Uncle”; Smelicue in
“Dark Of The Moon”;
Norman in “Star
Spangled Girl”; and Marvin in “Bleacher Bums”. While at LMU, Dave worked as an on-air personality there and also hosted a nightly interview segment for the university's Channel 18 Evening News. Dave graduated LMU in 1990 with a BA in English after finally defeating his long time nemesis: 2nd semester Algebra. Upon graduation, he returned to the Knoxville area and acted with various theatre companies in the area. Some of his favorite roles have included Glenn Griffin in “The Desperate Hours”; Bob Ewell in “To Kill a Mockingbird”; Dork The Goblin in “The Hobbit”; and Stuart Framingham in “Beyond Therapy”. In recent years Dave has been fortunate enough to be cast in indie film productions like “Popcorn Boy” and “Nightmares From The Mind Of Poe”.
