Hal Gibbs was born in Brownsville, Tennessee. After completing high school in 1987, Hal moved to Murfreesboro, Tennessee to attend Middle Tennessee State University. Over a ten year period while residing in Murfreesboro, Hal obtained a Bachelor’s of Science in Criminal Justice, a Master’s of Education in School Counseling, and an Army Honorable Discharge.
In 1997, Hal moved to Nashville where he currently resides
with his wife
Jackie. In January 2001, Hal was watching the local early morning news and a casting call caught his attention. Dreamworks picked Nashville as a location for the film, “The Last Castle”. Hal weathered the chilling cold the following morning and stood in line for the casting call. He was chosen as an extra throughout the production.
Such an experience has given Hal non-speaking roles over time. The Boys of Summerville will give Hal his first opportunity to act.
