Mitch was first bitten by the acting bug in college, where in his senior year alone, he starred in three major productions and several short plays. His work earned him Best Actor honors from the Vanderbilt University theater department.

After college, Mitch worked for eight years as a professional stand-up comedian, appearing in comedy clubs, colleges and concert halls nationwide. During that time, he shared the stage with
acts such as Jeff Foxworthy, Drew
Carey, Bob Saget and
Tim Allen.

Next he returned to the theatrical stage in numerous regional productions, taking on such roles as Felix Unger in The Odd Couple and the holdout juror in Twelve Angry Men. He also founded the Great Smoky Mountain One-Act PlayFest, which showcased three of his original short plays, and for which he received the Best Short Play or Special Work award from the Knoxville Area Theatre Coalition.

Today, Mitch works as a freelance writer, actor and voiceover talent, appearing on regional television and radio as a host and spokesperson. He is also interested in working behind the camera, spending his free time developing his video production skills.
