Wesley H. Murphy was born in Maryville, TN, and is a graduate of Maryville High School and the University of Tennessee. When forced to pick a minor as a junior in college, he chose Theatre and after spending a few semesters studying the basic principles of acting, he fell in love with the challenge and creative process. Upon graduating, he began taking film-acting classes from Hollywood heavyweight David Dwyer. Wesley attributes Dwyer
with teaching him
true acting and
many life lessons.
In addition to a string of commercials and print work, Wesley was first seen on national television as the host on AMC’s “Date Night” in 2006. He is the male lead in Dusty Clark’s short-film, “The Caregiver”, and his onscreen debut will be in Billy Butler’s horror film, “The Furnace”, which is scheduled to be released in 2007.
